Patrick Casey, the newly appointed Registrar of Credit Unions in the Central Bank of Ireland, delivered his inaugural speech to CUDA‘s annual conference on 27th January 2018 in Galway. He spoke on the need for Irish credit unions to modernise their business model and his comments reinforced the main points of our paper on that subject, which was referenced in Mr. Casey’s published remarks.
