Description
Credit union voices on the road to growth, scale and 2035
What do the people who run British credit unions think about the sector’s future?
This report presents the results of the United Vision 2025 Baseline Survey, delivered by Swoboda and the New Economics Foundation. It draws on 226 complete responses from CEOs, directors, staff and volunteers across 104 credit unions. Covering 38 questions, it compares the views of CEOs and non-CEOs, and of credit unions above and below £10 million in assets, through the statistics and respondents’ own comments. It explores satisfaction, growth, membership, mergers, collaboration and CUSOs, threats to members, products, the “credit union” name and a vision for 2035.
It finds a sector united on ambition but divided on capacity. Essential reading for boards, managers, policymakers and anyone shaping the movement’s future.
