Responding to the cost of living crisis

Swoboda presents its latest conference, in Manchester on 11th November.

We know members – and staff and volunteers – need their credit union even more at times of economic stress. This conference aims to give credit union leaders the ideas, information and confidence to address the challenges and opportunities in the hard months ahead.

In our morning session we will consider the crisis and what it means for credit unions, with speakers including Niall Alexander from Fair4All Finance, Erik Porter from Cheddr and member of the FCA’s Consumer Panel, and a panel of credit union CEOs and chairs. In the afternoon, we will focus on building strategic resilience for the future through a workshop with internationally renowned facilitator Miranda V. Flury from Hawkeye Strategies, who we are delighted is coming from Canada to join us. We have invited the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, to close the day.

Swoboda credit union members from Britain and Ireland are already booking, and we have some tickets for non-members too, costing just €150. The agenda is available here. Further details and tickets here. For any queries, contact Nick Money, nick.money@swobodacentre.org.

Book now! We look forward to seeing you.
