It’s conference time again! Booking for the CFCFE Credit Union Conference: Facing Contemporary Challenges, to be held on Friday 24th September, is now open: details and booking here.
The conference will open with tributes to Ralph Swoboda, former chair of CFCFE and many other impactful roles in the credit union movement. Please note that all tickets are now free, so that as many people as possible can join us.
Through presentations and breakout group discussions, we will be covering:
- Leadership – Lucy Harr will discuss her findings on high performing credit union boards and CEOs
- Regulation – Séan Murray of Comhar INTU Credit Union will present on potential changes to capital ratio requirements in Ireland followed by a panel on that and other regulatory topics relevant to Ireland and the UK
- Reflections from the USA – George Hofheimer, credit union consultant and formerly Executive Vice President at the Filene Research Institute, will offer thoughts from his work with credit unions in the US.
It will be a ‘hybrid’ event, with most attendees participating via Zoom but a small number of CFCFE members and guests meeting together in person. There will be plenty of opportunity for interaction. As always, we welcome non-members to ensure the widest range of perspectives and insights, so book now!
