Collaboration and Communities
10.00am-3.30pm (registration from 9.30am), Friday 18 January 2019
The Co-operative Group, 1 Angel Square, Manchester, M60 0AG, UK
The Centre for Community Finance Europe in collaboration with
Liverpool John Moores University
Hosted by The Co-op Credit Union within the Erasmus+ Fincare Project
What is the issue?
Credit unions in Ireland and Great Britain have different characteristics, both as between themselves and between these states. They share, however, a need to collaborate in a range of areas in order to support the evolution of the traditional business model while retaining their fundamental member focus. Determining the priorities and allocation of scare resources presents a critical governance challenge for directors and executives, as does sustaining and evidencing a distinctively co-operative organisation.
This conference will bring stimulating speakers with real-world experience of collaboration and co-operation together with an invited audience of senior credit unionists from Great Britain and Ireland.
Who should attend?
Anyone involved in the governance or strategic leadership of credit unions in Ireland and GB – chairs, directors, CEOs / executives.
