We’re delighted that we have had such strong interest and enthusiasm from across the sector for our first Conference on Friday 18th January in Manchester. We have almost 100 delegates already registered including: 30 credit unions from England, Ireland and Scotland, several British trade associations, the PRA and FCA, the Department of Finance and the Credit Union Advisory Committee (CUAC) from Ireland, and two universities!
We have eleven speakers addressing the topics of Collaboration (what can we learn from experiences in Ireland and Britain, and what are our priorities?) and Community Impact(how can we demonstrate our role in our community, beyond our core services?), and there will be time at lunch and afterwards for credit unions to make new connections and refresh old ones. So we are confident of a successful day for those who can make it.
Booking closes on Monday morning (13th) – earlier if we fill up first – so if you would like to come please book now: http://bit.ly/2DPXeZS. Queries to nick.money@swobodacentre.org.
